Itinerary + what to expect:

You’ll be picked up from your central Mexico City location at 7:30 AM for a 30-60 minute drive to Central de Abastos (traffic in the city is ever-changing, so we like to allow some wiggle room). Once there, you’ll spend about 4-5 hours exploring the market’s vibrant sections: sampling breakfast foods like tamales and fresh juice, wandering through the colorful produce and flower aisles, visiting the bustling seafood and meat halls, and tasting local snacks and aguas frescas along the way. You’ll have time to shop for spices or souvenirs and enjoy a hearty lunch at a market fonda before meeting your driver for the return trip, arriving back at your starting point around 2:30 PM.
